Saturday Music School (SMS) is a weekly music tuition for young people ages 8 – 14 year olds living in the North Manchester area (Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford, Manchester, Stockport). The project is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Youth Music and delivered by Rising Stars.
The project will be delivered in two stages, stage 1 will run from 16th April – 6th August and stage 2 from 27th August – 4th December.
Young people will have the opportunity of developing new skills in instrument playing, percussions and native instruments, making new friends, building confidence, self esteem and performance skills, as well attending high quality live music events that will stimulate their creativity and broaden their musical influences.
